Canada and Finland have a lot in common: a northern location and shared values and views on many international issues. Despite differences between the two systems, education and training have been successful in both countries. Canada is a strong arctic partner, and there is great potential for economic co-operation between the two countries.
The Centre for International Mobility CIMO and the Canadian Embassy in Helsinki jointly organize a discussion forum to explore ways for further improvement in our co-operation and exchange of information.
Dr Stephen Murgatroyd
joins us from Edmonton to share his thoughts on new modes of operation and solutions in cleantech. Representatives from the education and business sectors will discuss how to best utilize innovations in both countries and increase interaction between sectors and amongst actors. A practical point of view is provided by FinAl, a network for secondary education in Finland and Alberta, where pupils, teachers and principals learn from each other through face-to-face meetings and joint projects on the web.
As space is limited, we would kindly ask you to register beforehand by 25.9.2013 through the link below. At the end of the event, which will be held in English, a light salad lunch is served.
You are warmly welcome to CIMO!
